Why I love being an HR Professional

28th April 2016

By Claire Rogers, Human Resources Officer at Clanmil

I love what I do, and I am lucky enough to do what I love every day. I love the variety, the fact that my day is never dull, that I am continually learning and that I get to help others. Above all else, I love the dedicated and caring people I have the pleasure of working with.

The compassionate and considerate approach taken by Clanmil staff when working with our tenants is inspiring. Every day their passion for helping others and their drive to make the most of every opportunity is evident for all to see.

The time I spend with colleagues right across the organisation reminds me how privileged I am to collaborate with such genuine people who want to do their very best. Our people have talents that go way beyond the skills they need to do their jobs and they are so willing to share their knowledge, experience and expertise with their colleagues. They want to help each other as well as our tenants. We never stop learning.

Creating a culture that empowers and motivates our staff enables them to do a great job! They thrive on change and challenges and are proud and excited to be part of a growing organisation that makes a real and tangible difference to so many lives.

“Our people are our greatest asset” is a popular saying in many organisations. At Clanmil it’s not just a saying. Without our team of dedicated and motivated professionals we could not achieve the high standards we strive for in our homes and services.

It is a real pleasure to see such genuinely engaged and talented people coming to work every day. It is thanks to these people that Clanmil Housing is delivering great homes and services that really matter.
