Clanmil's Jonathan is a NIFHA 'Housing Hero'

20 October 2020

In September, Clanmil participated in a campaign led by the Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations to highlight the important role housing associations play in communities throughout Northern Ireland.

Jonathan Morrow, Clanmil Maintenance Technician has been selected for NIFHA's 'Housing Heroes' Billboard Roadshow

The #HousingHeroes campaign focussed particularly on the housing sector's contribution and impact during the COVID-19 pandemic. Part of that campaign included the a 'Housing Heroes' roadshow, which travelled around Northern Ireland visiting each of the 11 council areas.

Clanmil is delighted to that one of their team Jonathan Morrow, was selected to help front the campaign.

Jonathan Morrow, Clanmil Maintenance Technician

Jonathan is a Maintenance Technician at Clanmil, and has been out and about safely doing essential repairs throughout lockdown in order to keep people safe and comfortable in their homes at a time when home is so important to us all.

During lockdown, he collected hand sanitiser when it was hard to source and delivered it to Clanmil's older peoples housing schemes throughout Northern Ireland. He also delivered ICT kit and supplies to Clanmil staff the length and breadth of the country so that we could move quickly to work offsite and maintain vital services to our tenants.

Other Clanmil staff whose contribution was highlighted as part of the campaign were Linzi Webb, Good Relations Officer; Nicole Payne, Care Assistant; Deborah Shanks, Neighbourhood Services Officer; Brendan Morrissey, Supported Living Manager; and Angela Rouchy, Money Advisor. Clanmil tenants Sean T Traynor, Margaret Millar and Maya Goodfellow were also recognised for their work within their communities.

All of these people had an incredible impact on other peoples' lives during the coronavirus outbreak, and the NIFHA campaign gave us, an opportunity to celebrate them as Housing Heroes.
