To apply for social housing (including Clanmil accommodation) in Northern Ireland you must first submit an application form to the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE).
You can download and print an application form by clicking here, or call us on 02890 876000 and we will send you a copy.
A Clanmil Housing Officer will be able to help you complete the application form if required. Completed forms should be returned to your local NIHE Office.
To apply by telephone, please call NIHE directly on 03448 920900 and provide them with your details.
When they receive your application NIHE will carry out an assessment and you will be awarded points to reflect your housing need. You will be allowed to specify two areas of choice on your housing application.
NIHE will place you on the Common Waiting list for your areas of your choice. When a vacancy becomes available, it is allocated to the person on the waiting list with the greatest need (the most points) at that time.
You only need to apply once for housing, as your application will be accessible by all social housing providers in Northern Ireland.
If you are already a Clanmil tenant and would like to transfer from your current accommodation to another home please contact your Housing Officer on 02890 876000. They will advise you on the transfer application process.
If you are a tenant of another social housing provider - NIHE or another housing association - you can apply for a transfer by contacting your landlord directly.
All social housing providers follow the same rules on allocations and transfers.
